On Easter Sunday, when we were at my sister-in-law’s house out of town, my daughter and my niece made an emergency run to a local dollar store to purchase a mixer, in order to save my key lime icebox cake, which relied on fresh whipped cream. (It turns out my sister-in-law’s mixer was out of commission.) You know how it is when you have your head set on creating a specific dessert a specific way? I could have added cool whip, but I just needed to do the homemade whipped cream. The dollar store mixer did the trick, but who knows it if will be sturdy enough to withstand many more uses? A KitchenAid mixer, however, should last for many Easters into the future! I’m taking part in a giveaway of one for Mother’s Day! Here are the details:
