“Didn’t know a stranger.”
“Lit up a room.”
“Put a smile on everyone’s face.”
I didn’t personally know Price Thornal, but I know he was loved by many here in Tallahassee, and quite a few of the young people I am acquainted with knew him. The above phrases were taken from this remembrance, and I have a feeling they sum up what most everyone who knew him felt.
Madison Social is holding a Brunch Fun Run to benefit Price’s Point on May 10. Price’s Point is part of a project through the Organization for Artificial Reefs to build an artificial reef in Price’s memory.
Brunch + Fun + Run + A Great Cause = Let’s Do This!
The goal will be to run around College Town, eating something off of the Madison Social brunch menu each lap (okay, FORCE ME! TWIST MY ARM!). Here are the three between-lap food offerings:
(The fourth and final lap is, according to the Madison Social people, “No food, just all speed baby!)
The distance for the participants who do all the laps is approximately 1.75 miles.
Price Thornal clearly made an impact on those who knew and loved him. Let’s come together to run, eat, make some memories, and be part of an artificial reef through which he will continue making an impact that will outlive all of us.

The phrases you used about Price are all true. He lit up my classroom every day. I often told him that he was a natural politician! This event sounds fun but also rewarding to know that we can do something to honor this young man’s life. Thanks for sharing.
I’m happy to share! And I appreciate your sharing your personal experience; that echoes everything I have heard about Price. I hope the turnout for this event is as big as his personality was!
